The Client

Renault Retail Group Deutschland runs three distinct automotive brands — Renault, Dacia and Alpine — each with its own audience, all reporting into one group strategy. That structure makes visibility hard to read: what lifts one brand can blur another, and group-level and brand-level performance often pull in different directions. As AI-driven search reshapes how buyers discover cars, RRG needed to see how each brand actually shows up across those environments.

The Ask

Could three individually managed brands be turned into a single, measurable growth system without losing their distinct identities? RRG wanted to strengthen visibility for the group and each brand at once, reach the right audiences, and connect its channels into one performance picture. The strategic question was how to measure and manage search and AI visibility consistently across a portfolio, not brand by brand in isolation.

Steps Taken in Rankscale

  1. 01

    Audit AI Visibility

Black Sheep Agency used Rankscale to audit the current AI visibility of Renault Retail Group and its relevant brand topics. That established how the group and its brands are represented across AI-driven search environments today.

  2. 02

    Baseline the Portfolio

The audit set a clear baseline across Renault, Dacia and Alpine, separating brand-level presence from the overarching group view. For the first time, visibility across the three brands could be compared on the same measure.

  3. 03

    Measure the Strategy

That baseline became the measurement foundation for the broader digital and SEO strategy, tying AI-visibility insight to the wider growth work across brands and topics.

Results

  • The visibility index rose 170%. Across the overall digital strategy, Renault Retail Group's visibility index climbed 170% and its main keywords grew 22%, with the Rankscale audit providing the AI-visibility baseline that made cross-brand progress measurable. Results shown are for Renault Retail Group's overall digital and SEO strategy, which the Rankscale AI-visibility audit and baseline supported.
  • Average rankings improved by 8 positions. The strategy moved RRG up an average of eight positions in organic rankings, evidence that a connected, portfolio-wide approach outperformed managing each brand in isolation.
  • 48% more active users. The website recorded 48% more active users than the previous half-year, showing that stronger search visibility translated into real audience activity. With a shared AI-visibility baseline in place, RRG can now track that momentum across Renault, Dacia and Alpine on one measure.
